Your membership and support makes it possible for the library to do a variety of fun programs for all ages, including visits from the Merry-Go-Round Youth Theatre, the Montezuma Audubon Center, Rosamond Gifford Zoo, and the Kopernik Observatory and Science Center, chair yoga and meditation classes, lectures & workshops with local historians & artists, and hands-on crafting & maker programs.

Happy Holidays from the Friends of Seymour Library!

Join the Friends on Wednesday, December 8 at 6 pm at the Willard Chapel Community Room, for a party celebrating the season. Food, Drinks, Games, Music, and Holiday Cheer! BYOB if desired. 

This event is open to all Friends and future Friends (you do not have to be a member to attend). Proof of Covid Vaccination is required.

Mission:

The purpose of the Friends of Seymour Public Library District is to maintain an association of persons interested in books, libraries, and the promotion of lifelong literacy, focus public attention on Seymour Public Library District services, facilities, and needs, and enhance the community’s appreciation for the library, stimulate gifts that may be used for collection development and other library needs and to actively promote and support the financial and economic well-being of the Seymour Public Library District by the presentation of views before legislative and administrative hearings and before the public at large regarding any matter affecting the revenues of the library.
