Are you friendly and passionate about helping others? Join us as a Welcome Ambassador—a new volunteer role designed to help visitors feel informed, comfortable, and excited about everything that Seymour Library has to offer!
What You’ll Do

As a Welcome Ambassador, you’ll be the smiling face that greets our patrons at the door. You’ll ask, “What brings you in today?” and help guide visitors to the right place or person. You’ll greet patrons as they enter, and provide answers and assistance for frequently asked questions and needs.—all while helping people make the most of their library experience.
Why It Matters
By answering general questions, Welcome Ambassadors free up library staff to assist with more complex requests and behind-the-scenes projects. Your service will help create a smoother, friendlier experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
