Mary Gardner

Mary Gardner’s poems have appeared in anthologies of the National League of American Pen Women, McMaster University and Tower Poetry Society of Hamilton, Ontario, Syracuse Poster Project, Upstate Medical University’s The Healing Muse, and Cayuga Lake Books. Her chapbooks, “When All Danger of Frost Is Past” (2015), “Place Settings” (2017), and “Downsizing” (2020) were published by FootHills Publishing. She has sold 500+copies of her self-published “MY LIFE MATTERS” journaling book. She holds a Certificate in Poetry from the Syracuse Downtown Writers Center and Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She published twenty professional articles while employed in the health field.


Howard Nelson is a poet. His latest collection of poems, “That Was Really Something”, was published by Groundhog Poetry Press in September 2018. His previous books include “All the Earthly Lovers: Selected and New Poems”, “The Nap by the Waterfall”, “Bone Music”, “Gorilla Blessing”, “Earth, My Likeness: Nature Poetry of Walt Whitman”, and “Robert Bly: An Introduction to the Poetry”. Howard lives in the Finger Lakes region of New York and is Professor Emeritus at Cayuga Community College.

Bobbie Panek Headshot

Bobbie Dumas Panek is a poet, writer, author, watercolorist, sister, mother, friend, and widow. Nature is her muse. She has two published books: “Morning Walks: zen meditations” and “Just Another Day.” Her poems have been published in numerous anthologies and her articles in magazines and journals. Being invited to read her poetry at Auburn, NY’s City Hall Inauguration on January 1, 2022, is Bobbie’s favorite achievement.

Joe Sarnicola, of Auburn, has been a professional writer since 1993. His first sale of verse was to Paramount Greeting Card Company, and since then, his poems have won awards and contests, including being a three-time winner of the Syracuse Poster Project and Poetry in Public Places. He wrote Kid’s Chronicle, which was syndicated by the Catholic News Service for more than twenty years, and which earned him an award by the Catholic Press Association for Best Family Column. He has been a long-time contributor to The Citizen, and he currently writes “The Possible You” with yoga instructor Mary Pasqua Waldron. He has taught classes and workshops on various writing topics. He currently teaches guitar and ukulele at the Guitar Center in Syracuse, and he is the president of the Finger Lakes Art Council.
