VOTERS APPROVE LIBRARY BUDGET

Voters in the Seymour Public Library District voted 177 – 32 Wednesday to approve the proposed 2024 budget. The budget, which will take effect in January 2024, calls for a tax levy of $975,000. Most of the remaining part of the library’s $1,023,170 budget proposal comes from non-public funds.

  • Voters in the Town of Owasco elected a trustee to the library board. William M. Foster will represent the Town of Owasco, for a four-year term starting January 2024.
  • Voters in the Town of Sennett elected two trustees to the library district board. Debra Daloia and Michael C. McCole will represent the portion of the Town of Sennett that is in the library district, for a four-year term starting January 2024.

The board of trustees is composed of two members each from Auburn, Owasco, Sennett, and Fleming, and one member who represents the Seymour Library Foundation. Learn more about the library’s Board of Trustees!
