Christina has made it her mission to connect, support, and offer realistic daily strategies to help remedy the effects of chronic stress. Space is limited so registration is required.   • Author Talk: South of Little Rock

    Join author George Rollie Adams for a reading and discussion of his multi-award winning novel South of Little Rock, a powerful story of race, family, and small town life in the South in the 1950s. Residents are forced to deal with social change when Governor Faubus resists the desegregation of Little Rock Central High School and President Eisenhower sends troops to ensure it.

    George Rollie Adams is president and CEO emeritus of Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester and a native of southern Arkansas. A former teacher, he holds graduate degrees in history and education, is the author, coauthor, or coeditor of three other books, and has served as director of the Louisiana State Museum and as a writer, editor, and program director for the American Association for State and Local History.

We will explore simple stories, songs and movement, while focusing on the importance of early literacy and community resources. Stories will reflect topics such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and infant feeding. Parent resources on these topics will also be available for browsing and check-out. Representatives from both agencies will be present to answer questions about WIC and Nurse-Family Partnership.
