The monthly film and discussion series will focus on different social issues, with the goal of raising public awareness around disabilities and creating a community dialogue. The library’s portrait of founder James Seymour went out in January for restoration work at West Lake Conservators. The conservation of his portrait was made possible by the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant Program administered by Greater Hudson Heritage Network with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts. Thank you to West Lake Conservators for the beautiful restoration work and Seward House Museum staff for helping to hang Mr. Seymour ‘s portrait.
