Every October, the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association, sponsors Teen Read Week to encourage teenagers to read for the fun of it.

TeenTober is a national celebration with libraries every October joining forces to celebrate teens. Seymour Library encourages teens to take advantage of reading in all its forms – books, magazines, eBooks, comics, audiobooks, and more.
