Fall Festival

Fall Festival - Saturday October 15, from 11 AM - 2 PM at Seymour Library.

Celebrate the season with fun activities on the library’s front lawn*, yummy treats provided by the Friends of Seymour Library, balloon art with Jeff the Magic Man, hands-on crafting stations, fall-themed storytimes, Autumn STEAM with Captain Ducky, tours of Fort Hill Cemetery with Seward House Museum, and more!

11 am to 2 pm: Activities on the Library’s Front Lawn

11 am to 1 pm: Balloon Art with Jeff the Magic Man

11 am & 1 pm: Fall-themed Storytime

12 pm: Autumn STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) with Captain Ducky

12:30 pm, 1:00 pm, & 1:30 pm: Tours of Fort Hill Cemetery with Seward House Museum. We will meet behind the library and walk over. Space is limited per tour. 

*In case of rain the fun will be moved inside of the library. Tours of Fort Hill Cemetery will be canceled. 


Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Decorate a pumpkin based on your favorite storybook character! Pumpkins will be available to pick up on Friday, October 7 at Seymour Library. Paint, carve, glue, and glitter your creations to life!

Return your literary-themed pumpkin to the library by Friday, October 14, to be entered into a contest! Pumpkins will be on display during the library’s Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15 from 11 am to 2 pm. Visitors will vote on their favorite pumpkins.

The creators of the top three pumpkins will receive a copy of the book that their pumpkin was inspired by! Supplies will be limited. Please email Jackie at jkolb@seymourlib.org to reserve your pumpkin.
