Get a library card

To get a library card from Seymour Library, which will also allow you to borrow at any Finger Lakes Library System library, simply stop at our Main Desk and be sure to bring valid ID with you (signature and current address). Those living within our tax district will receive full access, those within the Finger Lakes Library System but outside of our tax district will have basic access. Those who teach within the Auburn Enlarged School District or at Tyburn Academy or St. Joseph School may apply for an Educator’s card (a full access card). Please bring your school ID with you or a letter from the principal on school letterhead stating your current employment with the school.

If you live outside of the Finger Lakes Library System (for example, Onondaga County), you may purchase a full access membership for an annual fee of $60 for the first card, $5 for each additional card in your household.

Anyone age 17 or younger must have an adult sponsor (parent or guardian) willing to accept any financial responsibility for borrowed materials. Both child and sponsor must be present when renewing the card, and the sponsor who have a library account must be in good standing.

You may apply for a card online, but be sure to visit the library within 30 days with your ID to receive your card.

Lost your card? Please report your lost card as soon as you can and stop by the library to get a replacement. There is a $1 fee for replacement cards.
