Now Hiring:

Library Associate (part-time, includes evening and weekend hours)

This paraprofessional position (20-30 hours/week) assists library customers, provides tech help, and solves problems at the point of need.  Library Associates rotate through several service points that all require excellent customer service skills.  In addition to public-facing service points, Library Associates also work behind the scenes to process ILLs, shelve materials, and develop/prepare displays.  

Requirements for Library Associate position include:

  • Associates degree with major coursework in Liberal Arts, Library Information Systems, or related field; AND at least one (1) year of full-time paraprofessional library experience or two (2) years of increasingly responsible full-time customer public service experience; OR
  • Completion of a minimum of one (1) year coursework in Liberal Arts, Library Information Systems, or related field; AND at least two (2) years for full-time paraprofessional library experience or three (3) years of increasingly responsible full-time customer public service experience.
