Your membership and support make it possible for the library to do a variety of fun programs for all ages. In 2021 and 2022, funding from the Friends allowed the library to offer Take & Make kits-featuring books and fun hands-on learning activities for families, IMAGINE Storytime, DIY Drop-in Challenges, chair yoga, art in the garden, lectures by local historians, and more!

Friends of Seymour Library Annual Meeting 2022
The Friends of Seymour Library presented the library with a check for $7,000 at their annual meeting on July 20, 2022. An election of officers was held. Liz Mizro was elected to the position of treasurer and Geoffrey Starks was reelected as vice president for a two-year term.

The purpose of the Friends of Seymour Public Library District is to maintain an association of persons interested in books, libraries, and the promotion of lifelong literacy, focus public attention on Seymour Public Library District services, facilities, and needs, and enhance the community’s appreciation for the library, stimulate gifts that may be used for collection development and other library needs and to actively promote and support the financial and economic well-being of the Seymour Public Library District by the presentation of views before legislative and administrative hearings and before the public at large regarding any matter affecting the revenues of the library.
