Seymour Public Library District Trustee Election, October 26, 2021
Seymour Public Library District will hold an election for one trustee on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. This trustee will represent the portion of the Town of Fleming that is in the Auburn Enlarged City School District.
There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 8 at 6 p.m. at Seymour Library for anyone interested in more information about the role of a library trustee or the election process.
Those interested may pick up nominating petitions at the library, 176-178
Genesee St., Auburn. Seymour Library is open Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and live in the portion of the town of Fleming that is in the Auburn Enlarged City School District.
Completed petitions must be returned to the library by 6 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021. A minimum of 10 valid signatures are required.
The board of trustees is composed of two members each from Auburn, Owasco, Sennett, and Fleming, and one member who represents the Seymour Library Foundation.
