Community Read & Discussion: The Auburn Conference by Tom Piazza

FreeJoin us for a discussion of our fall community read, The Auburn Conference by Tom Piazza. Imagine late 19th-century literary greats- Mark Twain, Frederick Douglass, Herman Melville, Walt Whitman, Harriet Beecher Stowe- coming together in Auburn NY for a public discussion on the future of the nation, covering topics of race, class, gender, and the fate of the democratic ideal. Howard Nelson, poet & professor at Cayuga Community College, will facilitate the discussion. Copies of the book will be available to borrow at Seymour Library starting in October. The Friends of Seymour Library will provide refreshments.
