Garden Tour & Plein Air Event

Tickets are now available for the Friends of Seymour Library’s Garden Tour and Plein Air fundraising event!
Join the Friends of Seymour Library for a Garden Tour and Plein Air fundraising event on Saturday, June 14, in and around the historic and picturesque city of Auburn. Enjoy a variety of private and public gardens! Artists will be plein air painting (painting outdoors from nature) in several of the host gardens. Those attending the event will be able to vote for a “People’s Choice” award for the best painting after 3 pm at the library. Proceeds from the event will go directly to support Seymour Library programs and services.
The self-guided tour will begin at Hoopes Park, 100 S Herman Ave, Auburn, NY 13021, where a directional map describing each location will be distributed.
Participants can start their tour anytime after 10:00 am.
Gardens close at 3 pm, and your last stop should be at Seymour Library, 176-178 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY 13021, with refreshments, music, plein air art exhibit (3 to 4 pm), drawings for prizes, a plant sale, and information on the Master Gardener Program from Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 the day of the event and are available online (PayPal) and at Seymour Library.
Calling All Artists!
Join the Friends of Seymour Library for an afternoon of plein air painting in a variety of public and private gardens in and around the city of Auburn on Saturday, June 14. Painting starts at 10 am, with a Wet Paint Exhibition and People’s Choice Awards from 3 to 4 pm at Seymour Library.
The Garden Tour & Plein Air art event is open to any artist and will take place rain or shine. The registration deadline is Wednesday, May 16.
