A Case for Women in Science
March 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT
FreeOne of the most exciting sites in Auburn to learn about science, technology, and film is the Case Research Laboratory located behind the Cayuga Museum of History & Art. The lab was owned and operated by Theodore W. Case who employed a number of chemists, electricians, laboratorians, and more. Many of the most fascinating stories about the lab revolve around the people who worked with Case, especially the several women he employed. These women worked in science during an era when women were viewed primarily as wives and mothers, making their accomplishments that much more significant.
Join Haley Boothe, Curator at the Cayuga Museum of History and Art and Case Research Laboratory, at Seymour Library and learn more about the lab through the perspective of the women who worked there, as well as, the women of the Case family.
The Friends of Seymour Library will provide refreshments.
