Your membership and support make it possible for the library to do a variety of fun programs for all ages. In 2024, funding from the Friends made a variety of programs for all ages possible, including the Music in the Stacks concert series, community reads, Leaf Stem, Roots– a houseplant and gardening series, lectures on local history and travel, Family Fun Nights, chair yoga, meditation, storytimes, and more!
To join the Friends, complete a membership application.
Upcoming Meetings & Events:
Catch up with your fellow friends and learn about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and the latest library news. You do not need to be a member of the Friends to attend a meeting.
Meetings will be held at Seymour Library on the third Wednesday of the month at 5 pm.

Mission:
The purpose of the Friends of Seymour Public Library District is to maintain an association of persons interested in books, libraries, and the promotion of lifelong literacy, focus public attention on Seymour Public Library District services, facilities, and needs, and enhance the community’s appreciation for the library, stimulate gifts that may be used for collection development and other library needs and to actively promote and support the financial and economic well-being of the Seymour Public Library District by the presentation of views before legislative and administrative hearings and before the public at large regarding any matter affecting the revenues of the library.
