The Friends of Seymour Library’s Book Nook
This ongoing book sale offers a selection of gently-used adult and children’s books, audiobooks, DVDs, puzzles, and games! The Book Nook is located at Seymour Library and is open during library hours, Monday through Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Guidelines for Donations to the Book Nook
Donations accepted during library operating hours:
Please drop off your gently used books and puzzles at the Book Nook Donation bin! This bin is conveniently located next to the library’s elevator when you come into our main entrance.
The Friends are currently accepting:
- Hardcover & paperback fiction and nonfiction in good condition.
- Clean, undamaged copies of “classic” titles
- New/gently used children’s books
- New/gently used puzzles
- Items will be reviewed by Friends volunteers. Books and puzzles that are damaged, yellowed, soiled, musty, moldy, missing covers, have broken spines, or excessive writing/underlining inside will NOT be accepted. Condensed books, encyclopedias, textbooks, software, or manuals will not be accepted.
Only new and gently used books and puzzles will be accepted at this time.

Drop by the Friends Book Nook (located at Seymour Library) for the Last Chance Book Sale! With new books on the way, it is time to make some room. Check out our selection of “Last Chance” books, $0.25 (per book) donation! Stock up on some fall reads, from thrillers to nonfiction, there is something for everyone!
